1:22 AM

Lorelei has been sleeping through the night for just over a month now. It has been the most wonderful gift in the world to me, someone who has always been teased for how much I enjoy my sleep. To be able to sleep straight through the night is something we often take advantage of until we are blessed with a child.

Please, do not get me wrong, I know that when she grows older, I will miss the days when she needed Mommy in the middle of the night. However, due to my post partem depression and awaiting my meds to even out, I already have troubles sleeping. So, when she awoke almost an hour ago at 1:22 AM, I was not in a joyous manner for this occasion, having only successfully fallen asleep about 2 hours previous.

As I changed her, she smiled up at me as though she knew just what to do to make me think her the cutest baby in the world. But although that would work during the day, Mommy was all about business and she's STILL AWAKE! Ugh...Here is hoping that soon she goes back to sleep than sleeps till Mommy is done sleeping!

3 Month Pictures

In honor of children being more comfortable in their own homes (and in saving money) I decided to attempt taking Lorelei's 3 month pictures at home rather than trying to bring her into a professional photographer. Here are a few of my favorites, though there are many more.
Honestly, we had a ton of fun with this, and rather enjoyed it! Maybe there is money to be had in photography...if only I had a better camera, I'd try some freelance! heehee...

Growing Up

Grandma Sandy's First time holding her first grandbaby

I wanted to do a post of pictures from birth till now...

Just a few moments after birth.

3 Months

Lorelei is not sleeping very well during the day lately. She has hit a growth spurt and boy is she eating like crazy! For lunch, she ate half a container of squash, 2 oz of formula and FOUR oz pedialyte. That's insane for her!

Her naps lately have barely given me enough time to get a bite to eat. Though it drives me insane sometimes, I love her to death. I am constantly amazed at the love between mother and child.

Andrew is becoming a wonderful father more and more each day. He really loves to come home and play with his little girl and I must admit, I was a little jealous over the long holiday weekend because all she wanted was Daddy. I had a much needed break though from the constant needs of an infant. It was kind of nice, a good "Christmas Present" for Mommy.

Good Morning!

Better late than never right?

So my soon-to-be-mother-in-law showed us one day all these notebooks she's been writing in and saving since Andrew and his siblings were born. It's full of little things, essentially little journals. Through these, we know how Andrew was as an infant. Being the daughter of a mother who suffered severe post partem depression, I had kind of wished my mother had done that. So I have entered the modern version of those journals via blogging.

Lorelei Rose was born on September 28, 2008. She is now three months old! Time has already been flying. It is hard to remember that little bundle we brought home on October 1. She barely did anything other than sleep.

Now, she is already enjoying working towards grasping her toys and playing with them. She smiles at everyone she knows, and even lets out little giggles! In fact Dec 18, Daddy took some audio with his phone of some of her first real giggles.

Our little girl is growing so fast, it amazes me. She has been on rice cereal for almost 2 weeks, and just a couple of nights ago, she tried some squash. She has been munching on that every night and seems to rather enjoy it!

Well, as I figure out how to work this thing, I shall eventually be adding pictures and more. I hope that this will help those not able to be in our daily lives to feel a little more included in our little family.
